Is it just me or was this year like … Really fucking overwhelming? Like everything’s that’s happened to you this year has shaped you into a completely different person that you were at the beginning of this year

“Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside them they’ve all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe.”— Neil Gaiman

Remember you get to choose too. If you spend most of your time and energy trying to be approved of and chosen all the time you’ve given away your own power to CHOOSE.
Choose to be around people who value you.
Choose to be around people who are honest.
Choose to be around people who don’t slander you behind your back.
Choose to be around people who appreciate you.
Choose to be around people who ask how you’re doing.
Choose to be around people who are real.
Choose to be around people who remind you of God.
Choose to be around people who make you feel your time was well spent.
Choose to be around people who can say sorry.
But choose for yourself rather than only waiting for people to choose you.
